01 / ONE_ZIP_PER_ARTICLE
One ZIP, start to finish
Every article opens with a plain-language summary, then covers the background, the mechanism, the case for the ZIP and the strongest case against it.
ZIPs For Nerds is an independent research series on Zcash Improvement Proposals. Each article takes one ZIP, explains what it says in plain language, walks through how it works, and gives the case for it and the best case against it.
The first article, on ZIP 318 and the Orchard to Ironwood migration, is with reviewers. It will appear here once it has been checked.

How we work
01 / ONE_ZIP_PER_ARTICLE
Every article opens with a plain-language summary, then covers the background, the mechanism, the case for the ZIP and the strongest case against it.
02 / CHECKED_AGAINST_THE_SPEC
Numbers, quotations and mechanisms are checked against the specification and the linked sources before publication. Every article lists its sources.
03 / PUBLIC_CORRECTIONS
ZIPs change after an explainer is written. When an article is fixed or updated, the change is logged where readers will see it.
04 / PROTOCOL_ONLY
If a ZIP has a serious objection on the record, the article carries it. Every article says how AI tools were used in making it.
